Saliva at Big Night Live Concert Review


SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 — It's difficult for any band when they lose one of their founding members; but despite losing lead guitarist Wayne Swinny to a hemorrhage earlier this year Saliva persevered on releasing their latest album, "Revelation" on September 8, 2023.

Performing tonight at Big Night Live in Boston, MA. Saliva busted onto the stage with a huge banner that had a sweet mural of Wayne Swinny on it.

Starting the show off with a rousing version of 'Come Back Stronger' (one of the singles off their latest album.) The next song "Ladies and Gentlemen," got the crowd dancing and moshing all over the place. Other highlights of the show included great versions of "Survival of the Sickest", "High On Me", "Doperide" and "Crows" before they treated the audience to a once in the lifetime rendition of the songs 'They Don't Care About Us/Lose Yourself/Get Ur Freak On.' Saliva hit their stride with a breathtaking version of "Always" and they ended the show with "Your Disease" and fan favorite "Click Click Boom."

I have to mention how blown away I was by the power of Bobby Amaru's vocals and how great a frontman he is. Then when you add in the extraordinary bass playing of Brad Stewart and the explosive drumming of Sammi Jo Bishop you have the ingredients for a phenomenal band and that is exactly what Saliva is. Two thumbs up to touring guitarists Josh Kulack and Sebastian LaBar who were nothing short of spectacular tonight.

There's a saying in sports that athletes leave everything they had "on the field." I guess it goes for bands as well because tonight Saliva left everything THEY had on the stage!
