August 17, 2015 — LOS ANGELES — Combining roundabouts, zoos and robots, considered some of the very best aspects of Copenhagen, Danish alt-rockers MEW debut the music video for their song "The Night Believer" from the band's current album " + - " (plus minus) [PIAS].  (see embedded video below).

Watch The Night Believer video in the embedded video below:

Produced by the UK-based Kestrel Media, the video was conceived by Lianne Pierce who also created the Pixies' animated video for "Bagboy."  For "The Night Believer" video, Pierce teamed up with the stop-motion animator Will Hodge (Disney's "Frankenweenie,"  Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr. Fox").  Pierce and Hodge set to work crafting 2D, cardboard creatures to cruise around in colorful, plasticine cars, using stop motion and After Effects trickery to bring everything to life.  The result is a race between a variety of critters and a towering, hungry robot, all tangled in a myriad of color and accompanied by the cheery tune of "The Night Believer."

" + - " was released on April 28, 2015 to spectacular reviews in outlets like PitchforkStereogumand Under the Radar.  The album held the #2 spot on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has amassed more than two-million Spotify plays.  The track "Witness" is getting airplay on SiriusXM, KCRW, KEXP and other NPR and AAA stations across the country.

Mew - Jonas Bjerre/vocals, Johan Wohlert/bass, and drummer Silas Utke Graae Jorgensen, will be joined by guest guitarist Mads Wegner and keyboardist Nick Watts, for the band's first North American tour in five years, set to launch on September 17, 2015 in San Diego.   Mew will utilize video, LED trees and other special lighting to create a quixotic experience for concert-goers.  The set list will include fan-favorites such as "Zookeeper's Boy," "Am I Wry? No," "Comforting Sounds," and "Snow Brigade," interspersed seamlessly alongside new tracks like "Satellites," "Water Slides," and "Witness."  The complete itinerary is below.
