July 1, 2015 — Critically-celebrated singer/songwriter Samantha Crain has a new album coming out July 17, 2015 and on it, she comes out swinging. The all-analog Under Branch & Thorn & Tree is a protest album, plain and simple: the Occupy movement, morality, inequality, sexism, the importance of resilience, the plight of today's working class woman, and the oppression of her own Choctaw Indian heritage are all front and center.
