This year's GWAR B-Q will be nothing short of an outrageous, wet-n-wild orgy of hard music, super cool art, and delicious food. The main event will be held, horns high,Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Hadad's Lake (7900 Osborne Turnpike Richmond, VA 23231) in beautiful and historic Richmond, Virginia, the only city crazy enough to have produced the slaves of GWAR.
Early April saw the announcement of the first bands slated to play this year's event. Of course your Lords and Masters, GWAR will be playing a special 30th Anniversary career spanning set. The initial announcement of bands boasted artists including The Descendents, Down, The Dickies, Goatwhore, MC Chris, and Dead Earth Politics. That's a fucking amazing lineup right there, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Scumdogs have confirmed an additional slew of bands for the GWAR B-Q. NYHC legends Cro-Mags are joining the already stacked lineup alongside Ghoul, Cancer Bats, Ringworm, American Sharks, Mutoid Man, Valkyrie, Child Bite, and RVA legends, RPG. Holy shit that's a crazy lineup... And there's more exciting news coming on that front!
Legions of fanatical fans are expected to descend on Richmond to share in the celebration of 30 YEARS of GWAR! The event's expansion to a full three day weekend includes the annual kick-off party, the B4BQ, at The National on Friday, August 14th and a new closing party, The Brutal Brunch, which will be launched on Sunday, August 16th, giving destination fans an opportunity to check out the new GWARbar! And tell your mom we say what's up.
